App Tracking Transparency (ATT) is a privacy feature introduced by Apple in its iOS 14.5 update. ATT requires apps to obtain user permission to track through a pop-up prompt. If the user accepts, this action gives developers the ability to use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for marketing purposes. This change was implemented to address concerns surrounding user data privacy and provides users with control over their data, enabling them to consent to or deny tracking.
